Why this product exists

VIBEZZ gives households a professionally mixed surround experience without a studio, a receiver rack, or a complicated AV setup. One app discovers the speakers, places dedicated audio stems in space, and keeps every channel aligned so rain can fall above the bed, a train can pass through the room, or a story can unfold around the listener.

VIBEZZ shows that Krenno Labs can design and ship a complete hardware-connected consumer product: identity, onboarding, IoT provisioning, multi-device audio orchestration, and a premium entertainment interface in one architecture. It proves we can take a spatial-audio idea and turn it into a polished, commercially presentable mobile platform. For the next client, that same capability becomes a branded IoT product, a wellness system, or a multi-room entertainment experience with the engineering depth to match the story.

Built for

  • Households that want a cinematic ambient environment without installing a conventional home-theater system
  • Wellness-minded listeners looking for sleep, focus, and recovery soundscapes
  • Families who want immersive audio stories that feel spatial rather than headphone-bound
  • Consumer electronics and hospitality brands that need a polished hardware-plus-app experience
The story

Challenge, approach, solution

01

The Challenge

Most homes already have speakers, but they still play flat stereo from a single point in the room. Creating a true ambient surround experience usually means specialist hardware, manual calibration, and content that was never mixed for space. The opportunity was to give listeners a theater-grade environment that feels effortless: discover the boxes, choose a world, and hear that world occupy the room. That required more than a playlist app. It required a product that could provision IoT hardware, serve independently mixed stems, keep multiple devices in lockstep, and present the whole system as a cinematic destination rather than a device utility.

02

Our Approach

We treated VIBEZZ as a complete entertainment system rather than a remote control for speakers. The information architecture separates the hardware journey from the listening journey: first the room is prepared, then the catalog opens. Each Oaisis experience is authored as paired HEAD and FEET stems so height, distance, and atmosphere can be placed in the room. A local media layer and a cloud catalog sit behind a synchronized playback engine, while the interface uses motion, typography, and dark cinematic surfaces to make the software feel like part of the environment.

03

The Solution

VIBEZZ is a Flutter-built mobile platform that authenticates the listener, discovers SoundSystem hardware on the home network, and orchestrates spatial playback across paired speakers. The app provisions devices onto Wi-Fi, serves or streams stem files, and continuously reconciles position, status, and volume so the mix stays coherent. Inside the product, listeners move through featured stories, a personal Oaisis carousel, premium scene and mood collections, and a dedicated 3D-story library. The result is a finished consumer experience: hardware onboarding, catalog, player, and account in one product surface.

Experience

The Experience

A listener opens VIBEZZ and is welcomed into a dark, mint-lit environment branded around stillness and immersion. If the room is new, a guided setup walks through Wi-Fi, power, and pairing until the Oaisis boxes appear on the network. Once the system is ready, the home surface presents a featured story, a carousel of personal oases, and a premium catalog organized into Scenes, VIBEZZ moods, and Upgrades. Choosing Bali Beach, Amazon Jungle, Oriental Express, Womb Sound, or Forest Spring opens a full experience page with visual atmosphere, spatial playback, and per-speaker volume. Featured 3D stories such as Harry Potter place independently mixed stems around the listener so the narrative occupies the room. Play, pause, seek, and loop stay aligned across devices, including when the app moves to the background.

Product

What we built into the product

Spatial Stem Mixing

Every flagship experience is authored as independently mastered HEAD and FEET stems so atmosphere, narrative, and physical space can be placed at different heights in the room. The platform mixes and delivers those stems to paired speakers, giving the home a surround image that headphones cannot reproduce.

Multi-Speaker Orchestration

VIBEZZ discovers, pairs, and commands a room of networked SoundSystem devices as one instrument. Play, pause, resume, stop, and seek are issued together, then reconciled so the mix remains a single performance rather than two unsynchronized streams.

Guided Hardware Onboarding

A step-by-step setup journey prepares Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, power, and pairing, then connects each Oaisis box through its provisioning access point and joins it to the home network. The product treats hardware setup as part of the experience, not a hidden technical chore.

Oaisis Scene Library

A curated catalog of environmental worlds — rain, beach, space, forest, city, travel, and more — designed for sleep, recovery, and presence. Each scene is presented as a destination with motion, copy, and spatial audio rather than a generic track list.

VIBEZZ Mood Programs

Dedicated programs for work, creativity, focus, meditation, chill, and summer give the product a daily-use layer beyond cinematic scenes. Listeners can shift the room to match the hour rather than only choosing a destination.

3D Audio Stories

Narrative experiences such as Harry Potter, Paw Patrol, and The Little Prince are delivered as spatial stories. The listener is placed inside the scene instead of sitting in front of a single speaker, which turns familiar titles into room-scale theater.

Synchronized Playback Engine

A continuous control loop reads transport state from every paired device, detects drift, and realigns position so channels stay locked. Looping long ambient pieces and recovering from load or stop states is handled as a system concern, not left to the listener.

Per-Speaker Volume Staging

An overlay mixer lets listeners balance each box independently so the HEAD image, FEET image, and room acoustics can be staged for the furniture, ceiling height, and sleeping position in that home.

Intelligent Scene Guidance

The catalog surfaces the right world for the moment — evening wind-down, deep-focus work, travel atmosphere, or a featured story — so the product feels curated rather than like an archive the listener has to search.

Also included

Premium Catalog and Membership

Scenes, moods, and upgrades are presented as a premium collection with clear membership entry points. The product is structured as a living catalog with featured work, personal oases, and expandable commercial tiers.

Account and Identity

Email and Google sign-in, registration, and session persistence give each household a secure identity, saved setup state, and a personalized welcome into their oasis.

Local and Cloud Audio Delivery

Stem files can be served from an on-device HTTP media layer on the home network or streamed from cloud storage. Speakers pull audio directly, which keeps the phone in the role of conductor rather than the only playback source.

Background Listening

Foreground services keep the sync engine alive after the listener locks the phone, so an overnight rain scene or a long story does not collapse when the app leaves the screen.

Trusted Content Standards

Oaisis content is presented with explicit guarantees: no subliminal messaging, no frightening volume peaks, and no scary sound design. That trust layer is part of the product for sleep and family listening.

Room-Ready Device Recovery

The app detects existing SoundSystem devices on the network, handles single-speaker and multi-speaker rooms differently, and resumes a household into listening instead of forcing setup every session.

Engineering

How it's built

A listener authenticates through Firebase, then the application shell routes them into a device-aware home flow. DeviceCubit checks connectivity and runs DLNA discovery against SoundSystem hardware. If no boxes are present, the setup journey provisions each speaker by joining its access point, reading nearby networks, and writing home Wi-Fi credentials through the device HTTP API. When two or more renderers are ready, the catalog opens. Choosing an experience resolves HEAD and FEET URLs from the on-device media server or cloud storage. The playback cubit issues coordinated UPnP and HTTP commands, then polls transport state on an interval. If positions drift beyond a threshold, the engine pauses, seeks both devices to a shared timestamp, and resumes. Volume overlay commands go to each renderer independently. The phone remains the control plane; the speakers remain the acoustic plane.

Decision

Author every flagship experience as paired HEAD and FEET stems instead of a single stereo file.

A true surround room needs independently placed atmosphere and body. One downmix cannot put rain above the bed and ground rumble at the floor.

The product has a distinctive acoustic identity and a technical story that ordinary playlist apps cannot copy.

Decision

Use the phone as conductor and the speakers as renderers.

Consumer IoT boxes already know how to decode audio. The hard problem is coordination, provisioning, and product experience.

Battery, UX, and catalog logic stay on mobile, while acoustic power stays in dedicated hardware.

Decision

Speak both the Arylic HTTP API and UPnP/DLNA, including vendor PlayQueue services.

Discovery, transport, queueing, and firmware status are split across protocols on this class of device.

The app can commission hardware, load media, and keep time with the same depth a vendor app would need.

Stack

VIBEZZ is built as a cross-platform Flutter product with a BLoC-driven application layer, Firebase identity, and a dual-protocol IoT control plane. The phone is the conductor: it provisions hardware, serves or addresses stem files, and keeps multiple Arylic-class speakers aligned through HTTP APIs, UPnP/DLNA, and MQTT. That stack lets one codebase deliver a consumer entertainment product that has to feel as reliable as a theater system and as approachable as a lifestyle app.

Process

From brief to shipped product

  1. 01Discovery

We studied how people actually rest, focus, and listen at home: they want a world to enter, not a device to configure. That led to a product model built around rooms, stems, and destinations rather than tracks and playlists.

  2. 02Design

The interface is cinematic by intention — black surfaces, mint light, motion titles, and full-bleed atmosphere — so the software feels like the foyer of the experience. Hardware setup was designed as a welcome, with numbered steps and confirmation states instead of a settings panel.

  3. 03Development

Engineering proceeded as a stack of live systems: identity, LAN discovery, SoftAP provisioning, dual-protocol control, local media serving, and a sync engine that treats two renderers as one instrument. Feature surfaces were built on that foundation so catalog and player never outran the room.

  4. 04Testing

Playback was validated as a multi-device problem: start alignment, seek coherence, loop boundaries on long ambient files, background survival, and recovery when one renderer reports a different transport state than the other.

  5. 05Launch

The product ships as a complete household experience: create an account, prepare the boxes, enter an oasis, and keep the room playing. Catalog, membership entry, and story features are present as live product surfaces rather than later attachments.

Challenges

Hard problems, clear outcomes

Keeping two independent renderers in one musical time

Problem

Each speaker decodes, buffers, and clocks on its own. A few hundred milliseconds of drift turns spatial audio into a broken image, especially on long ambient loops and story stems.

Approach

We built a playback engine that polls both devices, compares position and transport status, and realigns with a shared seek whenever the gap crosses a threshold. Loop edges and false stop reports on long files are handled as first-class cases.

Outcome

The room stays one performance. Listeners can leave a scene running, seek through a story, or return from background without manually repairing the mix.

Turning unboxed IoT hardware into a living room product

Problem

A new SoundSystem box starts on its own access point. Consumers should not have to understand SoftAP, DHCP, or firmware URLs to hear rain in the room.

Approach

We designed a guided provisioning flow that scans for the device network, joins it, reads the household AP list from the box, writes credentials, and then rediscovers the speaker on the home LAN.

Outcome

Hardware onboarding reads as hospitality. The same flow also recognizes rooms that are already prepared, so returning households go straight to listening.

Speaking the hardware's real languages

Problem

Discovery, queueing, transport, and status live across HTTP APIs, UPnP SOAP, DLNA AVTransport, and vendor PlayQueue services. A single wrapper would leave gaps.

Approach

We implemented the control plane at protocol level: HTTP player commands, DLNA setUrl/play/seek, GetInfoEx status parsing, and WiiMu queue documents when the firmware needs a playlist rather than a one-shot URI.

Outcome

VIBEZZ can load stems, read clocks, and hold long-form programs with the same authority as a vendor utility, inside a consumer entertainment interface.

Making a utility-grade system feel like a destination

Problem

IoT audio products often look like dashboards. This product had to feel like entering a world — or the technology would undercut the brand.

Approach

We separated setup from listening, gave every oasis a visual atmosphere, and kept player controls inside the scene rather than on a generic transport bar. Copy, motion, and light were treated as part of the mix.

Outcome

The engineering stays invisible in the right way. Households experience a theater, while the stack underneath remains a serious multi-device system.

Proof

What this work proves

VIBEZZ concentrates a home-theater problem into a single consumer product: provision the room, choose a world, and hear a professionally mixed surround image occupy the space. The platform demonstrates a complete path from identity to IoT onboarding to spatial playback, with a catalog that can grow from ambient scenes into stories, mood programs, and premium collections. For Krenno, it is evidence that we can design the feeling of a lifestyle product and still engineer the timing, networking, and hardware integration that make that feeling real.

What's next

Whole-home spatial zones

Extend the current paired-speaker mix into named rooms and multi-zone layouts so a household can run a sleep oasis in the bedroom and a focus program in the study from the same account.

Deeper adaptive mixing

Grow the guidance layer into continuous mix assistance that accounts for speaker placement, time of night, and listening posture, so every room receives a staged image rather than a default balance.

Creator and catalog operations

Give the brand a content console for publishing new stem pairs, scheduling featured stories, and managing premium collections without a client release for every oasis.
